IP changing and proxies

Proxy quality, geo alignment, rotation modes, and why residential beats datacenter for SERP work.

Proxy quality for organic search

Residential and mobile proxies look more like real searchers than datacenter IPs. Datacenter proxies carry a stealth score penalty of −20 and trigger sorry-redirects more often on Google.

Mobile proxies from carriers (LTE) perform best for sustained CTR work. Residential proxies from home ISPs are second best. Datacenter proxies are acceptable for short test runs.

Expect some sorry-redirects with any proxy type on high-competition keywords. The adaptive rate controller handles these automatically — it backs off and retries.

Rotation settings

Rotate per session (one proxy per session, rotated at session start). Per-request rotation changes IPs mid-session which looks unusual for organic browsing.

Each worker should ideally use a different proxy endpoint. If you run 5 workers from one proxy list, the bot distributes endpoints round-robin.

Verify your proxy is routing to the right country using the IP log in the Logs tab before starting a long run.
